SEC-S21W1: Creating a Blog for Amazon Affiliate Marketing

Hello steemian friends, from the beginning I have been interested in learning about Amazon affiliate marketing, I will try to follow all the stages available in this course every week and whether I will succeed in increasing my income through this learning? we will see until the end of the course this season.

Creating a blog on blogger is certainly no stranger to me, about 10 years ago I learned how to create a blog by myself, I was also very happy when editing some templates by changing the HTML/Javascript. But this time we have been given a specific theme so we just need to customize it.

I started to create a new blog which I then named "Rumah Impian" with the link address rumahimpian16.blogspot.com, I plan to create a blog that will focus on selling household items, why? I think these items are more in demand especially for mothers and I am sure the marketing will be successful later.

🎭 Applying the Theme

The next step is to download the theme that has been given in this course, it seems that this is a special theme that has been designed for Amazon affiliate marketing blogs.

Without lingering I immediately went to the Theme menu, then I installed the theme on the new blog that I had created by selecting "Restore," select the theme you want to apply then wait a few moments until the theme is successfully installed.

Next don't forget to set the mobile settings, when people visit the blog that has been created using mobile then the appearance of the blog will adjust to the desktop version or the version of the theme that has been applied, so that it looks more attractive.

After the theme is successfully installed I go to the settings menu to install some supporting code so that the theme can function properly, I then place the code on the "Post Template," then select save.

⚙️ Setting the Layout

After the theme is successfully installed the next step is to organize the layout so that there are no distracting appearances, I select one by one the layout parts that are not needed and immediately delete them. When the new theme is installed the old elements in the layout section must be removed so as not to interfere with the appearance of the new theme.

🏡 Add Three New Product Posts

Now let's visit the Amazon.com site, here I choose some household products that I think are suitable for marketing in the blog that I have created.

Next I choose the menu "New Post," I write the product title according to the existing product name, then I add a product description using my own language style this aims to make Search Engine Optimization (SEO) can more easily detect the blog that I have created.

The first product, I was interested in seeing a rotary mop so I downloaded some photos then uploaded them into a blog post. I added some descriptions about this rotary mop product to attract the attention of buyers.

"The second product, the following product I added is the TP-Link Tapo C100 Camera, camera sales are increasing rapidly lately especially with cheap and affordable prices, and can connect with cellphone cameras will certainly attract more attention from buyers.

The third product, the last product I added is a sports equipment, it looks like this sports equipment can fulfill all sports activities at home, a simple tool and has so many benefits, a tool like this is also very rare for me to see so if it is marketed it can certainly attract the attention of more buyers because it has many functions.

After all the products are successfully added we can see the results as in the blog view below, of course in the future I will slowly add more products to market.
