Yesterday, I forced myself to return to my village, but I couldn't because the road to my village was completely paralyzed, collapsing. I only made it halfway through the journey, and the rest of the way was completely destroyed. Finally, my friends and I headed back to our office to stay there again.
It was devastating to see my village in Jambi, Indonesia, completely collapsed. Not only that, but there were also many bodies lying on the road that hadn't been evacuated. We were terrified every night because the flooding in my area, Jambi, Indonesia, was so severe.
My colleagues and I returned to our workplace, as conditions in the village were still too bad for us to stay in. The rented house was still in disarray, and several houses in the complex were completely destroyed.
This is what we did today while staying at our workplace. Some of the tasks we performed at the workplace included cleaning and organizing some of the files we had moved from the ground floor to the upper floor. It took us a considerable amount of time to move some of the files and books from the lower floor to the upper floor.
We struggle to find food every day, as food stalls are hard to find. Several food stalls have collapsed. We're forced to seek food from the food stalls in the refugee camps in Jambi. We only find the remaining stalls selling rice parcels. In these conditions, everything is extremely difficult to find.
We survive on a daily basis with only the bare necessities, such as rice parcels, and food from the flood relief aid in Jambi, Indonesia. Furthermore, every night, we struggle to access the internet and electricity, as the network is completely down. We only use the network and electricity from aid. Even then, the time we have is very short, as it often fails at night.
