Everyone Needs A SafeSpace!

I saw a news story yesterday about the safe spaces being offered on college campuses now. They offer hot chocolate and stuffed animals, among other things, to students who are "uncomfortable" when confronted with opposing views. I find this so sad! I grew up with the, "Sticks and Stones" philosophy!
I do believe, however, that we all need a type of safe space and that our Creator made us that way so we would feel empty without Him. God loves YOU. He made you just the way you are. He will not force you to turn to Him but He wants to meet your needs; to do for you what you cannot do for yourself.
In case you're wondering, no, I do not believe when you begin a relationship with Jesus Christ that He keeps you from problems but I DO believe He keeps you THROUGH them. If you find yourself in need of a safespace I urge you to look to God. He loved you before He formed you in the womb! How awesome is THAT??!!

Very true, my safe space is deep in nature, alone in the woods for instance.
Cool. Thank you for sharing that. Even Jesus needed time alone and I think He was showing us the need we all have to spend time alone.

You did. I initially did not read the content. The safe space topic that is to bizarre and not worth discussion for me. I just saw the picture and loved it. Great post regardless.
