Selling 101
Let me post a series of sales tips for you...just remember nothing happens in business until someone actually sells something.
First lets start talking about the sales process. It all starts with a lead. However a lead is just someone who could potentially buy your product or service. You have to take the lead through a process where they are qualified, because to me an unqualified lead is called a suspect! You need to to turn suspects into qualified leads. What is qualified? It means that the lead has a need for what you sell, has money to buy it, and a timeframe.
Great, so now your lead is a qualified opportunity...but you then have to take them through the rest of the process...to get them to accept your proposal and then to get them to buy...I would say close, but today it isn't about closing so much as it is about getting the buyers excited to buy from you because you solve their problem or pain better than anybody else.
