More about the harm of salt

"First and foremost, you need to limit salt intake," says Alan Wasserstein, director of a specialized clinic at the University Hospital of Pennsylvania. With the restriction of sodium, the calcium content in urine decreases: the restriction of sodium and protein in the diet of Dr. Wasserstein's patients led to a 35% decrease in calcium in the urine.

Some patients abuse sodium, absorbing it in an amount of 5000 mg per day. It is reasonable to reduce this amount by at least half. Dr. Wasserstein advises patients with a high calcium content in urine not to salt food at the table or during cooking, to avoid ready-made sodium products such as bacon in other meat smoked foods, olives, canned soups (except for low-sodium), sauerkraut, smoked fish, and frozen and canned dishes (except for low-sodium ones).

I've read a lot of conflicting studies over the years. I eat R.E.A.L. salt, mined in Utah, and I eat quite a bit. I also eat according to my blood type. I'd be interested in seeing the studies on calcium intake and excretion and it's effect on the human body, along with the effects various salt usage had on the same individuals.

You'll find studies often contain baised interpretations of the data, not to mention incomplete controls or incorrectly created studies. ;) I wouldn't cut out your salt just yet, moderation is almost always a safe bet. :)

I had blood tests done a couple months back. The doctor came in, looked at the results, raised his eyebrows and stated "You have amazing blood work." He sounded like he rarely sees results like this, seemed a bit shocked. lol

I've also used cannabis near daily for 30+ years and avoided as much contaminated cannabis as possible, for the last 10 of them. ;)

Results not typical, YMMV. ;)

Ofcourse by taking too much salt, the extra water stored in body whic raises blood pressure. So, the more salt we eat, the higher our blood pressure. The higher our blood pressure, the greater the strain on our heart, arteries, kidneys and brain. This can lead to heart attacks, strokes, dementia and kidney disease.
