Samsung prepares to add bitcoin support to Galaxy S10 smartphone wallet
South Korea's Samsung Technology Corporation is expanding the list of cryptocurrency assets supported by its blockchain wallet, but is not yet making any official announcements in this regard, according to NewsBTC. With the next update wallets of smartphones Galaxy S10 will be suitable for working with bitcoin and blockchain Klaytn, developed by Kakao.
To the deep disappointment of Bitcoin supporters, the first cryptocurrency was not originally presented in Samsung wallets. According to the Blockchain Keystore SDK, early access program participants are already able to interact with decentralized applications via Bitcoin and Klaytn blockchains along with Ethereum.
The information on the page was updated on August 8, but the company chose not to make additional announcements, so it went unnoticed.
The Blockchain Keystore SDK allows Android applications to interact directly with the wallet features, including signing transactions and accessing blockchain keys.
The development toolset has not yet been put into operation, which may explain the lack of official announcements. Access to the SDK is currently available to developers on request. It is expected that the official launch of the relevant functionality will be carried out before the end of the year.
