Santa Clause is Coming to Town!

Good morning Steemit peeps! Christmas is right around the corner and it is my favorite time of year! The wife and I took our two children to visit Santa Clause the other day. Anyone that has partaken in this tradition knows there are usually many options. We have chosen to visit "Santa Jon" at the Mall of America Santa Experience the past 3 years. You can go to almost any mall and wait in a huge line for a quick photo on Santa's lap. We choose to do the Santa experience at MOA because its a little more intimate. The Santa's have a way with making even the most shy child open up and be comfortable.

Our kids shared some small talk with Santa about how they have been this year and if they are excited for Christmas. Then he asked the all important question, "What do you want for Christmas this year?". Damian, my son, asked for Hatchimals and my daughter, Vanessa, asked for Barbies. We will have to wait for Christmas to see if Santa come through.

While they visit with Santa my wife and I are allowed to take photos with our phones while their photographer takes "professional" photos. The only caveat to using our own phones is there is a minimum purchase required. $18.95 for a single 5x7 photo is a little steep, but worth it in our opinion for the experience.

The kids are left with a farewell and candy cane from Santa. They get so excited every year to see him. As parents my wife and I love to witness the magic in their eyes. The only sad part is I know we only have so many years of doing this.
