Steem Power is no commodity that you can trade. Steem however does go up, partly thanx to the high SBD price. I am for 6 months on Steemit and the price pf Steem has not been that good in the entire time.
Your advices @flauwy are very helpful especially for newbies like me. I can always use any of the suggestions you gave. Commenting is my forte and since I am starting I will bank on that for now to increase my SP.

As you said commenting is the best and easiest to start with especially if you are a minnow like me.
I also wrote a post recently highlighting 3 ways to make money as a minnow this chrsitmas season when sbd prices are high.

I like dtube. I am a small content creator on youtube. Have a few channels and all under 10000 views. Dtube is a way to earn a few dollars here and there since youtube shut me out.

Edit: I just tried to log in there, but they are asking for the active or owner key. Why should I give it, because these keys can be used to transfer my funds. Don't you think it is unsafe?
Don't worry, they use the secure SteemConnect system from the Busy.org developers. It handles your key and Utopian never gets them. They cannot do anything with your account but you can posting to the Steem blockchain from there. It is all open source and clean.
A lot of good advices and I have to look into @utopian-io it seems like an awsome way to earn some SBD and Steem. Do you have to sign up there before Contributing or how does it work ?
No, you just need to connect it via SteemConnect. Then you create a new contribution, pick the category and open source repository, read and follow the rules and make a post with the familiar busy editor. After you publish a mod will check your post within 48 hours and if all is correct approves it for the next @utopian-io upvote. It happens once a day when it hits 100% voting power.
