But you, Bethlehem Efrata, small to be among the families of Judah, from you will come forth me who will be Lord in Israel; and their departures are from the beginning, from the days of eternity.

The City of Bethlehem was the smallest of the families of Judah, however the renown that it has today, is because of the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ!
The Message of Micah, the Prophet!
Like other contemporary prophets, Micah also criticized the rich people of Judah, who abused the poor and needy. Corruption at all levels of society destroyed family cells, dismissed widows from their income and social rights:
They covet the estates and steal the houses, and take them; they oppress man and his house, man and his inheritance.
To the women of my people you cast out of the houses that were their delight; to your children you took away my perpetual praise.
Micah 2: 2,9
The poor and needy cried out in a loud voice, but the only one who heard them was God. Government corruption was so terrible that the prophet Isaiah called the rulers of Judah "rulers of Sodom" and "the people of Gomorrah" (Isaiah 1:10).
The Righteous must rule the earth!
Our cities and villages must be led by men and women who fear God.
When the righteous dominate, the people rejoice; But when the wicked rule, the people groan.
Proverbs 29: 2

Today our village of SteemChurch Telos is as small as the small town of Bethlehem where Jesus was born, but we trust that it will be a very large town that will bring freedom and justice to everyone.
