In the moments when we are shaken by tensions, anxieties or depressions, it is convenient to meet people who praise God and this will bring comfort to our lives.

Numbers 21: 16-17 Reina-Valera 1960 (NIV)

16 From there they came to Beer: [a] This is the well of which Jehovah said to Moses: Gather the people, and I will give them water. 17 Then Israel sang this song: Go up, well; sing to him

In these biblical portions we discover that praise is the cure for difficult situations faced by each believer, because it makes the waters flow from the well of his grace. Note these four truths that are reflected in the two verses cited: 1) The divine instruction: "Gather the people." In union there is power and solidarity. 2) The divine promise: "I will give you water (life)". 3) The responsibility of the people: they sang, "come up, oh well; he sings to Him." 4) Our lesson: in difficult times, anxiety or depression, don't be left alone. Meet with God's people, especially the people who praise him. Set aside your personal inclinations and praise him out loud, sing to your well: the living God. May your song be of gratitude for past blessings and faith in God's promises for the present and the future!
