THE TRINITY OF MAN
1 Thessalonians 5:23 "And the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely, and all your being, spirit, soul and body, be kept blameless for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Body (meat):
We have always heard messages about the body, this is formed by trunk, head and limbs and at the same time by five senses that prepare it for the exterior: sight, hearing, touch, taste and smell.
Spirit:
It is invisible, it has the same form as the body, it is what keeps us in touch with the spiritual world of God, it is the one that many times cries Abba Father !, it is the one who maintains the faith and the one who absorbs the teaching of the word.
Soul:
From the Greek psykhe, this word gives rise to our word psyche and psychology, therefore, the soul is related to our mind and everything that there is, intelligence, affections, imagination, feelings, dreams, etc. In addition, the mind is linked to the heart.
The mind has three levels the conscious, the subconscious, and the unconscious. The conscious is all knowledge or thought, which we know clearly (at this level the social character operates). The subconscious is the kingdom of opposition to reason, here operate the feelings and egoistic desires. The unconscious is the realm of uncontrolled thoughts. Our mind forgets nothing, it is like a tape recorder, therefore those memories according to the circumstances change and control our character.
One of the most difficult things is to be able to overcome personal pride, to recognize before God that without him, I am nothing; that will make my humanity die, it will make me die to the ego, and to all carnality. When those things are killed in our lives we begin to receive the freedom of the spirit and God begins to govern my life and He begins to work in the areas of my life that are damaged to be restored by the Holy Spirit.
Galatians 2:20. "With Christ I am crucified together, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me; and what I now live in the flesh, I live in the faith of the son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. "
Excellent reflection @ enriquemartro, personal pride is very dangerous so we must submit to the authority of God so that his holy spirit helps us to die any self-centeredness
