You are Free, live Free

"So if the Son sets you free, you will be truly free."

John 8:36 (New International Version)

So a blind man who recovers his sight does not tire of looking at new landscapes, or the deaf one who is returned to his ear delights with each new melody he hears, in the same way those of us who have regained our freedom through the blood of Christ we must enjoy every time we make use of our freedom in the Spirit of God, and we should not have any kind of chain.

The normal thing would be that the one who was captive and has already been freed would never wish to be near a dungeon, shackles or chains. However, sometimes the Christian allows his heart to remember them through sin or to keep death in his heart. The works of the flesh (adultery, fornication, filth, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, anger, strife, dissensions, heresies, envy, murder, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these- Galatians 5:19 -21) reduce the freedom that cost blood, so that a Christian must get rid of them to have true freedom. It is selfish to think that any of these works of the flesh has more power than the blood of Christ with which a Christian has been washed and cleansed; and obstinate would be to think that the enemy has a Christian under a yoke that can not be broken with the blood of Christ. Therefore, he who has already been bought by Christ and is not enjoying true freedom, should only believe in his heart that Jesus already did everything (Revelation 21: 6) and begin to enjoy what belongs to him, a perpetual freedom.

The price that was paid for us was very high, the blood shed of God himself to give us peace and freedom. (Isaiah 53: 4-5) So, every time we lose our peace or limit our freedom we are offending Jesus, forgetting that He has already paid the price. On the contrary, when we believe and honor His sacrifice, He will flood us with that peace that regardless of the situation we are living will keep our thoughts and hearts. (Philippians 4: 6-7)

You are free, then honor the one who redeemed you enjoying your freedom. Become that masterpiece that the Most High God desires, get rid of that which diminishes your freedom, not in your ways but in the transforming Power of the Holy Spirit. If you want this today, you have this prayer with me:

"Lord Jesus, forgive me, for I have allowed my heart to keep death in him. The price you paid for my peace and freedom was the highest. Allow me to honor you by living a greater holiness in the Power of the Holy Spirit. Give me the right understanding regarding the Power and Power of your precious blood that has given me true freedom. I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus, Amen. "

@opibarker, the true freedom is given by Jesus Christ, so the man who comes to God walks with freedom because Jesus makes him truly free and leads him to a new life that leaps to eternal life.
