Prayer provides breath and protection
Persistent prayer has a double value since we listen to God and He hears us.
As Christians there is no better option than praying is one of our favorite tool to reach God because through it we can have hope and faith in what we want to achieve.
That is why praying always in a sincere and honest way accompanied by an exercise of adoration, intercession, petition, perseverance and praise gives us hope and faith.
Many people pray but get tired soon because they do not persevere with faith in what they have set out to achieve by the hand of God since perseverance and combat is very important in our daily prayers.
Let's look at the parable of a woman who did not faint or get tired of going for justice in front of an unfair judge.
Read :
Luke 18: 1-8
Jesus also told them a parable about the need to always pray, and not to faint,
2 saying: There was a judge in a city, who neither feared God nor respected man.
3 There was also a widow in that city, who came to him, saying: Do me justice of my adversary.
4 And he didn't want to for some time; but after this he said within himself: Although I do not fear God, nor do I respect man,
5 However, because this widow is annoying me, I will do her justice, lest I come continuously, I run out of patience.
6 And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge said.
7 And will not God do justice to his elect, who cry out to him day and night? Will it take time to answer them?
8 I tell you that soon it will do them justice. But when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?
(RVR1960).
This parable is referred to by Jesus about the need to pray constantly and not to faint since prayer provides encouragement and protection against discouragement, besides allowing us to access faith and hope while waiting for his return.
In this parable Jesus calls attention to two things: first, the insistence of a woman before an unjust judge who shows us the contrast that exists in man and in God because man is unjust but God is just. And second: The perseverance of this woman who urges us to persevere in the faith of a righteous God who forgives all our weaknesses but honors us when we persevere in prayer.
Notice that the Bible tells us that this judge neither feared God nor felt respect for any man but the mere fact of the widow go every day to ask for justice from his adversary the judge at the beginning or case made him but as it happened days this woman went more often and so that she did not continue bothering him decided to do justice.
Likewise today it can happen with you and me if we persevere in prayer not before an unjust judge but in front of the only judge just in heaven and on the ground of our eternal God Jehovah of the Army
Very true @xioran, prayer is the safest tool to reach God and must be accompanied by perseverance and perseverance.
