The Future In Time Travelling

in #science7 years ago

I guess we all have heard of the phenomenon known as time travel but for those who hasn't heard here is a little preview.
Time travel is the state of shifting time and going into the future or past. Although time travel seems a little impossible now there are few cases which have been reported of several people who claimed to have travelled into the future and gone back in time.

One of the ways time travel can be done is by moving faster than the speed of light, according to researches which states that if the speed of the bullet of a good was faster than that of the speed of light, the bullet would be seen hitting the target before it was actually being fired.
Under accepted theories of time travel engineers would have to build a space ship which could travel at the speed of light (186,000 miles-per-SECOND), and head out into space.
Theoretical physicist and string theorist Brian Greene, of Columbia University, said: “You can build a spaceship, go out into space [and travel] near
the speed of light, turn around and come back.

When you travel with the speed of light time stays relatively slow on Earth, as a result you would be going fast and still your clock would be going slow.

Prof Greene states that after time travel you would have gone only one year while the earth would have gone alot of years. It may have gone through 1,000 ,10,000 or maybe even up to a million years depending on how close to the speed of light you travelled .

The only problem with this method is that the machine travelling at that speed would need an unimaginable amount of energy, and that source has not yet been provided, while the stress from the centrifugal force on the body would likely prove fatal.

The other method which can be used to time travel is that which involves the black hole, again this method requires space to be carried out.
Einstein theorised that if you were to situate yourself on the edge of a black hole, time would pass more slowly.
Prof Greene explained that “You hang out [next to a black hole] for a while, you come back, get out of your ship and it will be any number of years into the future, whatever you want all depending on how close you got to the edge of the black hole and how long you hung out there.
That is traveling to the future. But if that was then time travel is believed to have already taken place.
A cosmonaut Sergei Krikalev has already travelled into the future. Sergei is an ISS resident who holds the record for the longest amount of time spent in space, which is 803days, 9hours and 39 minutes.

The ISS travels with a speed of about 7.66km/s when orbiting around the Earth. Due to the high speed and length of time which he spent in space, the cosmonaut actually arrived back in Earth 0.02 seconds in the future thanks to a process known as time dilation.

Physicist Colin Stuart said in a Ted Talk that time dilation due to gravity “is quite small because Earth’s gravity force is quite weak and so the time dilation due to their speed is greater and astronauts really do travel a bit into their futures.”

For those who want to travel back in time, you might be out of luck because that doesn't seem to be possible, it just doesn't tally with the laws of physics at least the known laws, maybe we'll make new discoveries about time traveling but until then.

Thank you for your time and feel free to leave a comment if there is anything I left out.
