2022 is way too optimistic for asteroid mining as there are still lots of technological issues to be solved. With the current progress we wouldn't see a significant volume of asteroid mining before 2122 but the chances are high that we do see the first profitable industries in this field already within our lifetime.
I agree with your opinion. there is something more important than to mine asteroids out of space.
we all know that, human well-being is more important than that. the duty of a leader is to make people prosperous. not enriching themselves.
