Yes, you just reminded me of that. I was very young at the time but I do remember viewing one as a child. I was out playing in the backyard and my neighbor Marvin came over with a pinhole projector. I looked it up and the U.S. had an annular eclipse in May 1994. This total eclipse should be even better!
