We would all love for the first contact with intelligent life to be positive, but lets pray we are the ones that make the discovery and not the discovered.

Whenever I contemplate the Fermi Paradox it always leaves me to one answer, we are living in a relatively young universe and are lucky enough to be one of the first (thousands maybe) intelligent civilizations in our galaxy. But the positivity ends there as all forms of life fight for our finite resources, Aliens visiting us may be like kids taking candy from ants.
