Spot on. I always looked at de ja vu as one of a few things but still have no real comprehension of what it is:

1. You've seen the future at some point and are experiencing it in real time, vaguely remembering it.
2. Knowing that this has 'already happened' or about to happen, there is a choice you are about to make which will alter your life's direction somehow.
3. We are actually living in the past and everything we see is a just a memory of things that have already happened and sometimes, we can put ourselves 'in the moment'.
