I spent a holiday in Chamonix (French Alps) two weeks ago.
We took the little train up the mountain to see the "Mer de Glace" glacier.

Here is what it looked like a hundred years ago:

    Wow. I've seen the receding pictures before but this one is pretty eye-opening, and your own personal experience! Crazy. A whole ecosystem dying, alongside coral reefs
