Unsurprisingly, this study sent shockwaves through the scientific community, with the stock prices from several gene-editing companies falling.
It didn't send any shockwaves through the scientific community, we have been and continue to look extensively into Cas9's potential for off target cutting.
The only people surprised were non scientists. :) Because they don't listen.
Makes sense.
