We have already talked on occasion about the quantum internet which, as its name suggests, is based on quantum physics and the so-called qubits which, like traditional bits, can take two discrete values (let's say 1,0) but, in the case of the qubit, these two values can be taken simultaneously.

Until now, the transmission of qubits between nodes was done using optical fiber for transport, but now experts intend to use quantum entanglement to achieve quantum teleportation through which we could, in theory, communicate two nodes of a network without them being physically connected to each other.
Hasta el momento la transmisión de qubits entre nodos se hacía utilizando fibra óptica para el transporte, pero ahora los expertos pretenden utilizar el entrelazamiento cuántico para conseguir la teleportación cuántica mediante la cual podríamos, en teoría, comunicar dos nodos de una red sin que estén físicamente conectados entre sí.
In a recent experiment, scientists claim to have achieved it, for this they created a quantum network composed of three nodes (Alice, Bob and Charlie), Alice connected to Bob and Bob connected to Charly but without any direct connection between Alice and Charlie, after the experiment scientists managed to transmit information between these nodes without physical connection.
En un reciente experimento los científicos aseguran haberlo conseguido, para ello crearon una red cuántica compuesta por tres nodos (Alice, Bob y Charlie), Alice conectado a Bob y Bob conectado a Charly pero sin ninguna conexión directa entre Alice y Charlie, después del experimento los científicos consiguieron transmitir información entre estos nodos sin conexión física.

In theory, the information disappears from Alice and appears instantly in Charlie without there having been an intermediate trip, this implies that in addition to the speed of communication regardless of distance, it would be impossible to intercept this information during communication since there are no intermediate states.

As this usually happens at the moment, it is still far from being a viable solution on a large scale, but the fact of confirming the viability of this technology is a very important first step to achieve fast and secure communication between the nodes of a network and move away the specter that quantum computing will end the security of public-private keys.
Como suele pasar esto de momento está aún muy lejos de ser una solución viable a gran escala pero el hecho de confirmar la viabilidad de esta tecnología es un primer paso muy importante para conseguir una comunicación rápida y segura entre los nodos de una red e ir alejando el fantasma de que la computación cuántica acabará con la seguridad de las claves públicas-privadas.

Esto realmente es el futuro, nada mas imaginarse el transporte de datos sin que necesariamente haya un "transporte" nos pone a reflexionar de los alcances tan impresionantes, ya piensa uno en tele transportación de objetos y personas incluso...Excelente post como siempre amigo...
