Below is a sequence of images taken 7 days after the last published image and 9 days after the 'Sparks' test showing detail on the rod and the point that thinned and then later fell apart.

Sorry I've been offline for the past 2 months so much, your work is beyond compare in value to the community.
What happened needs some explaining - and it is more than it first seams. Still more study of this sample is needed.
