Very impressed. I read a lot of SF - have worked my way through about 50% of the Gollancz SF Masterworks series, and I'm a big fan of PK Dick, Dan Simmons, and Robert Charles Wilson. This is the first of your stories I've read, the tone puts me in mind of Greg Egan.

A very plausible plot, nicely speculative and well written - will check out some of your other stuff and maybe have a look for you on Amazon when I've reduced the size of my 'to read' stack a little!
