Facebook Libra Token Launch

Your doubts and speculations are over. No, Facebook Libra cryptocurrency is not going to rival or take the place of your favorite cryptos. Dante Disparte, head of policy and communications for the Libra Association said they are targeting the unbanked. Have we not heard of that before? If you had been here during the ICO days you might have heard about a few tokens aiming to do the same which is financial inclusion. When I heard of that few years ago I thought that is a good use case for certain tokens. I believe there were three ICO's about financial inclusion but hey where are they now?

I must say, this Libra token and financial inclusion is nothing new. Small groups of people are already aware of it and are using it just like myself. Facebook has the machinery to make things happen. Not to mention that they have around 28 or 29 financial institutions to back them up. The libra token is envisioned to become a stable coin not a speculative one like the cryptos that we know. Are we seeing crypto finally being adopted by the common people? I do not think so because people who will be using this token will be limited to the Libra network or ecosystem. I do not see this token being able to be traded with other assets or crypto like Steem or Bitcoin. It is just another version of wechat or whatsapp. Money transfer, remittance all around the world but nothing revolutionary. So stop the illusion, Facebook is not going to reward you with coins for liking or sharing OK?
