I should note that not everything we send to Ukraine is actually announced. We haven't actually officially announced any delivery of ATACMS to Ukraine, but they very much have been used by Ukraine.
This package seems no different. No official listing of ATACMS, but President Zelensky has said ATACMS are being delivered.
The longer range variant of the ATACMS is being sent which can reach a range of 190 miles. Almost twice the range of the medium range ATACMS we sent to Ukraine previously.
Another big difference in the longer range ATACMS is they have unitary warheads not cluster bomblets. So get ready for some big explosions at Russian airbases and positions.
We have a TON of ATACMS, so it will be interesting to see how many Ukraine ultimately gets. The US military is transitioning to a new missile system, and is phasing out use of cluster munitions, so we really don't have much use for many of these missile systems anymore.
