I get what you are saying, I try to avoid upvoting my own comments. I actually am very hesitant to upvote my own content at this point. My vote is only worth about .01 so it really has little impact on the final reward anyway. I know there are some curation trails I follow that if they cover my story I end up auto voting myself. I agree with you though. The value of comments should be left to other readers and the originator of the post as opposed to the person leaving the comment.
