#10 Its a give and take

in #self6 years ago

Hello everyone,
Throughout my many years, I've always wondered why there was always an exchange of things of value in so many spiritual settings. In Greek mythology, one has to offer some coins to Charon the ferryman for safe passage to the underworld. We also give at our religious institutions. There are numerous accounts of all sorts of sacrifice, to achieve a goal or arrangement.

This is why I find it useful to make pledges of value in order to reach my goals. If one receives information but does not surrender something of value for it, it is often not appreciated. Even worse, the information does not get used. I think this happens because it has lost its value because it was so easy to acquire.

The more expensive something is, the more value we tend to assign it. If one had to pay for this advice, one would be way more likely to take it seriously. Maybe then you would apply it as intended and change your lives forever.

Now that you know this can happen, you can be cognizant of this and not lose out.

Remember, no pain, no gain. You have to give a little to get alot.

Best wishes,

bestfrank...
