If you have reached a level of friendship and relaxation then maybe you can. This is because you have come to him to pass on knowledge to you and of course you don't want to seem opportunistic so if you are confident asking for help will not make him/her look at you somehow then go for it. But in reality even you know it's not all your friends you ask for help talk more of your teacher.
