As a smart buyer and seller you need to check the quality
- Color and Appearance
The color of an apple should correspond to its specific variety (such as Royal Delicious, Gala, or Fuji).
Glossy Skin: The skin of the apple should possess a natural sheen. Avoid selecting apples with an excessively thick waxy coating.
Uniform Color: Deep red apples are generally fully ripe; however, ensure that there are no green or brown patches anywhere on their surface.
- Touch and Firmness
A good apple should feel firm to the touch.
The Squeeze Test: Gently press the apple with your fingers. If it feels soft or if your finger leaves an indentation, it indicates that the flesh inside has begun to deteriorate.
Surface Inspection: The skin should be taut. Loose or wrinkled skin is a sign that the apple has been kept in cold storage for an extended period and has lost its moisture.

- Weight and Juiciness
Always choose apples that feel heavy for their size. A heavy apple indicates a high juice content. Light apples are often dry on the inside and have a "mealy" (sandy) texture.
- Blemishes and Bruises
When purchasing apples from a vendor, rotate them to inspect them thoroughly from every angle.
Insects and Holes: Do not overlook any small holes or black spots, as these may be signs of insect infestation within the fruit.
Bruises: Deep spots caused by dropping or impact can lead to premature spoilage of the apple.
