The Seven Day Beer Challenge # 3 Including Before & After photos of me drinking Superbock.
07/03/2018 The day I drank beer from the bottle.
Yesterday I got a bit of an earache from having beer through a straw. Some of my Venezuelan Steemit friends said in their country there is even a saying which states that having beer this way will make you drunk quicker. So, I suppose I better retire that fashion of beer drinking and adopt one of the classic ways of doing so: drinking from the bottle!

General Info
It has been rainy, windy and cold here in Central Portugal. In my opinion this weather calls for a really lazy evening. You know, slacks, hair up, etc... but, instead, thanks to @trumpman I had to reach for the fridge and grab a cold one, or to precise a Superbock, from the three beers we bought last Sunday. So, in our local supermarket, today’s bottle cost €0.93.
My husband kindly opened the bottle for me, I took it from his hand and smelt it first. To my surprised it smelt exactly like Sagres! 🙊 Oh no! How can this be? Now, I like red wine, and you will not find different types of wine with the exact same smell! So, I was not very tempted to taste it, of course, but I took a swig (I felt really wild while doing it 😎). In a way, Superbock is more palatable than Sagres, but it is still far, far from being tasty.
So just you all know, both Sagres and Superbok are the most popular brands here in Portugal.
Would I have Superbock again?
No, I wouldn’t.

Dear Abby, you are going to continue not liking beer until you understand that it is not meant to smell good or taste good. It is meant to taste like beer and smell like.... Beer! Once you stop trying to convert it to wine, I am sure you will find it less undesirable. 😀
I hope you had a good day today. I don't often visit discord so this is a very good way to check on you and see what you're drinking! I wonder why your husband just hands the beer over to you and do you hand it back after smelling it 😀?

Hello my dear 😍 Oh Gosh! You are ever so kind to always take the time to stop by! I don’t know how you sensed this; but, I do expect the taste of wine when I taste the beer 😂😅😂 I will keep your observation in mind tomorrow! Today, my husband actually tried this beer too. But he said it didn’t do it for him and accompanied me with a hot beverage after the tasting 😂
I haven’t been on the channel either, lately. I know it doesn’t look like it. But, I have been so busy these days. And yes, it is wonderful hearing from you every day ❤️🌷❤️.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I know that you expect the beer to taste similar to wine or something you're conversant with at least but it just fails to do that for you each time because it is beer after all. I suspect that most people who drink beer must have gone through this phase in the beginning and probably only kept going because of the alcohol content until they acquired a taste for it.
I knew you were busy or else you would not have changed your posting to once in two weeks. I guess you and your husband are in the same boat when it comes to beer. I hope you are having a great day. All the best.

You've finally graduated to sips. Congratulations! Also, don't worry about the smell. Beer aromatics are usually only important with hoppy beers. Bocks, pilsners, and other similar beers, especially those produced commercially, all smell similar.
