Steem Fantasy Premier League - Gameweek 16 Review and Match Prediction Game!

in #sfpl7 years ago

The current prize pool of The Steemit Fantasy League is currently 1,283.525 STEEM. With that in mind, I would take some extra time to pick your team, as that is absolutely crazy! This week we are given three derbies. Merseyside derby and the battle of Manchester, and a classic London derby. Let's take a closer look at the games, and what players who offer great value.

West Ham - Chelsea

The first match of the match week. West Ham almost managed to get a draw against Premier League favorite, Manchester City, but failed. Another late winner made sure it didn't happen. West Ham is once against put to the test. Chelsea is visiting West Ham to continue their great run. A draw against Liverpool has been their worst result in five games, which tells u, it's a well playing Chelsea that will look forward to getting another win at West Ham. West Ham still has a lot of injuries, while Chelsea has no major concerns. As Chelsea has no important players out, I recommend Hazard, Morata, Alonso and Christensen as the players to either keep or buy. I don't see them score an insane amount of points, as it'snot an easy game at all, but if in doubt what players to buy, it's them. Hazard looks on fire and can cause great damage to a West Ham defense that's missing both Reid and Fonte. I expect a clean sheet from Chelsea, and a comfortable win. Something like 0-2 should be possible for a Chelsea team in great form.

Missing or doubtful players: Byram, Fonte, Reid, Collins, Carroll, Chicarito, Noble, Kouyaté (West Ham), Luiz (Chelsea)

Liverpool - Everton

Liverpool warmed up for the local derby against Everton with a merciless 7-0 victory in the Champions League. If not Everton were pissing themselves because of all the injuries they have, they sure do now. Injuries have been a major problem for Everton all season with starters like Bolasie, Baines, Coleman and Barkley all been out. They are still not fit, and Liverpool will take advantage of that. Salah is Premier League top scorer, Mané is back, and Coutinho is looking better than ever. Those three players are, in my opinion, the players to have. Coutinho at 8.8m is one of the best buys in the Fantasy right now. If they play up to their best, they will completely destroy Everton. I simply can't imagine how Everton will get away with a point from this Merseyside Derby. Of course, Liverpool's defense is not the best, and with injuries to players like Clyne, Moreno and Matip don't make it better. We might see both teams score in this match, but I expect Liverpool to score at least three goals. My prediction would be 3-1.

Missing or doubtful players: Bogdan, Clyne, Moreno, Matip (Liverpool) and, McCarthy, Mori, Barkley, Baines, Bolasie, Coleman, Stekelenburg (Everton)

Manchester United - Manchester City

Most important match of the season so far. Most important in the terms of who will win the Premier League. Probably not such an important match for Brighton. Manchester United come from a weird win against Arsenal thanks to De Gea. City comes from a win against West Ham thanks to their amazing teamwork that Guardiola has implemented. Will be interesting to see if De Gea can repeat such a performance again. De Gea and the rest of United will be without Pogba who got sent off against Arsenal. Just like Bailly and Jones are unlikely to play. Jones might play, but nothing is certain. I think that the missing of Bailly, Pogba and maybe Jones is too much for Mourinho & co, as City has no major concerns. Only Silva is a doubt, but I expect him to play. Agüero is set to lead the attack with Kompany playing again at the back. Lingard and Martial are set to partner up with Lukaku at the attack. I have said it before and will again, sell Lukaku. He is not even close to being worth the amount he costs in Fantasy. With the concerns that United have and the none existing concerns Guardiola has, other than Stones and Mendy, I don't see United win here. United will be very conservative, and happy with a draw. If they lose, the Premier League is likely to be over with City then leading by 11 points before Christmas. I could imagine a draw here, which Guardiola also would be satisfied with. 1-1, or a City win is likely to happen unless De Gea is on form like last match week.

Missing or doubtful players: Carrick, Bailly, Pogba, Jones, Matic, Fellaini, Ibrahimovich (United) and Stones, Mendy, Silva (City)

why do you ever think Man United will beat Man City? If you had said draw, it would have been fair.

I thought it was about time they lost. But I guess not. :-)

Just joined Steemit and this is the first thing I looked for, I love Fantasy Football! Wish I'd found this before the season started so I could've joined, but I guess I will wait until next season. I'm assuming the prediction game is also a running total, so it would be pointless to join in now?

The prediction game anyone can join! :)
