This is so true @eveuncovered and I don't always pinpoint that one of my loves of steemit is that it is very non-insta or anti-fb. I know I have to FORCE myself to use those two platforms, but Steemit is the one I LOOK forward to using.
I try to only post my art and if I don't write much I still feel the need to give the overall mood or feeling I put into the artwork. And of course the art I post takes time and thought and thus sharing it here feels more valued then when I put it on FB (and there is always that creepy knowing that FB then owns the image in some way)
I often thing about just sharing a post of my day in a sort of 'hey look at this' but then I don't as I do feel like it just clutters up the place. I like that Steemit isn't just a bunch of random photos but that people are TRYING.
If we could control our Steemit pages like the old Blogger days I'd be happier as then we'd have a page that appears when you visit our posts that could have some little boxes on the side and then I could have a "Pics of today" and they'd have their place. Then the viewer could decide, Do I want to see a pic of their day and more of that? and if not, they can just read your post or look at your art and ignore that sidebar.
I guess I miss the sidebar of Blogger days...
In so many ways Steemit got me to stay on social media because it feels the MOST like those mid 2000's days that I loved the internet and blogs...sigh I guess you can't go back.
Well, I've rambled on enough here. Something I always do here but would never bother to do on Insta or FB :)
Damn you writing a comment longer than my posts on most days! 😂😅
Oh yes we are definitely missing some great sidebar action, like going back to a spesific month on a blog. I think I’ve written at least one rant about it.
All sorts of filtering options would be great. I like to change up what I do but shitposts make the feed ugly :(
