It isn't a shitpost if it is engaging material. The reason why they are so shitty is because they have crappy content that is boring and not even worth your time to click on. Lots of people just milking the system here with the auto vote and bot thing- it gets kinda annoying because it just reinforces the desire to post low quality stuff.
That is a very good criteria!! And sometimes there is no way to predict what gets action, so just gotta keep on doing different things. I get a lot of auto-votes so that is one reason why I’m quite mindful of what I post.
