An experienced shopkeeper tries to gauge a customer's tastes and budget as soon as they arrive. Instead of directly displaying items, they first ask basic questions, such as, "For which occasion (wedding, office, or casual) do you need clothes?" or "What's your favorite color?" This saves the customer time and provides them with the right choices. A shopkeeper's greatest weapon is their display. They unfold the clothes in a way that fully highlights their shine, quality, and design. They often use statements like, "This will look great on you" or "This is the latest fashion these days," to boost customer confidence. A clothing purchase is considered incomplete without bargaining. A shrewd shopkeeper allows some margin in their prices so that the customer can appreciate the discount. Furthermore, it's also important for the shopkeeper to be honest. If they provide accurate information about fading or shrinkage, the customer's trust increases and they are more likely to return to the same shop.
