Addition

Afternoon everyone ….

As you are aware by now, I have a stackers silver Christmas tree. This began last year, and is a work in progress. If I remember correctly, the tree had twenty two silver rounds on it last year. I bought a few over the year and began last year with twenty seven on the tree.

With several silver Christmas rounds as gifts from my secret Santa’s and friends from the platform I have added an additional four rounds. That brings the total to thirty one rounds currently on the tree.

While this looks pretty good on the tree, my personal opinion on this is that it will take between forty and fifty rounds to get it to look completed.

So……

As I’m very known to do, I have been searching for these Christmas silver rounds on a few websites. My first search was eBay since it’s the easiest to navigate directly to them. I started looking the Monday before Christmas and specifically looking at auction listings only.

Why???

Because there was no way that these items would arrive prior to Christmas to give as a gift. Which in turn means they will not be bid on by as many if any other people. I found a few that were ending the day after Christmas and a pair that ended a couple of days later.

Instead of me missing out on them being busy with things. I decided to put a bid in on both of the ones that ended the day after Christmas. I put a ceiling bid in as well. A ceiling bid is your top amount you are willing to bid. Until someone bids higher than that amount, you win.

Well….

I ended up winning both.

Today I will share the second silver Christmas round that I won. This one is also a vintage piece from 1996. The obverse has a street scene with four animals a mouse, raccoon, squirrel and a rabbit. With the inscription “Merry Christmas”. The reverse has an inscription of “Peace on Earth”.

Here it is…..
