Afternoon everyone….

It is that day once again…..

Yep. It’s Valentine’s Day!

It falling on a weekend day especially a Saturday makes it much more expensive holiday. The long weekend getaways and the Friday night and Saturday dinners at those fancy restaurants. The double or more priced roses that get bought out at most florists. The candy hearts, and other unmentionable gifts that are given. This is a total money grab holiday.

I have always bought my daughter flowers on Valentine’s Day without fail. My girlfriend doesn’t make a big deal about it, but I still buy her roses just because. We aren’t going out tonight, this was her decision. Her son is part of the robotics team in high school and they are a week away from the deadline to have the robot done for the competition. So he will be at the school with his team continuing to finish the robot. There’s no time frame on when he will get out, last Saturday it was 6:30pm. So instead, we are going out to dinner on Tuesday night and staying over at the casino.

Aside from that, I am giving her some silver. It’s a hand poured heart that I personally poured.

It’s not perfect but I liked how it came out. It weighs 2.6 ounces. It has some cool pour lines.
