Proof
Afternoon everyone....
Well the streak has been broken for gold, so that story is over..... For now anyway.
So I am going to bring you a lovely silver proof Lady Britannia. This is the 2016 one ounce silver proof Britannia.
The design for the proof changes even year, just as the Bu version used to. But they stopped that on the BU version a while back now.
Here is some info on the coin:
Key Features: Composition: 1 troy ounce of .999 fine (99.9%) pure silver. Obverse (Heads): The fifth effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark. Reverse (Tails): Britannia holding a trident and Union Jack shield, with a watchful lion, designed by Philip Nathan. Finish: Proof finish (mirror-like fields with frosted devices). Security: A textured, hammered background field was introduced in 2016 for added security against counterfeiting. Mintage: A limited mintage of 7,000 for the standard proof version. Legal Tender: Backed by the British government with a face value of £2 (GBP).
Anyhow....
Here she is....
