Christmas lights
Afternoon everyone ….
Well in the spirit of Christmas, it is currently snowing here in my area. While it’s not supposed to amount to very much. They are calling for between three to six inches. It has put a damper on my final install of the year. Which means that I will be doing an install on Christmas Eve this year.
This used to be a fairly regular thing for me, delivering or installing work on Christmas Eve. Most of these were presents to someone. I’ve only finished one kitchen job on Christmas Eve in my career. But I have done a few bathrooms, walk-in closets and plenty of furniture items. Ranging from bedroom sets, desks or tables.
This one happens to be a fireplace mantle. It won’t be a very long install once I secured the wooden braces to the brick surrounding, but that will take a little bit.
On a different note. My town is big on holiday decorations. They put garland and lights on every street light on the main road. They decorate and light up a tree in front of the town hall. They even do a lighting ceremony on it. But they also do a holiday scene on the path entrance at our town lake. They do a really nice job and many people come here to take holiday photos or just to walk around.
I took these pictures just as it was getting dark. There were only two people there at the time and they were walking out as I pulled up. So here are some pictures of the set up.
