Concert
Afternoon everyone….
Yesterday was a completely hectic day. I had an inspection scheduled on a job site, which my window was 2pm-4pm. Of course the inspector showed up at 3:50pm. The scope of work being done was pretty involved so it took him nearly half an hour to look at everything.
Meanwhile I’m constantly checking my phone for the time. We had tickets to see Three Days Grace and Breaking Benjamins at the Prudential Center last night.
I was roughly 25 miles away from where my girlfriend lives. Which meant rush hour traffic now. I didn’t get to her house until just after 5:30. I had to rush a shower and hop in the car to get to the show which started at 7pm. They didn’t list who the opening act was, they just said with special guest. So we didn’t want to miss it.
Traffic getting to the Prudential Center was pretty bad. Aside from normal rush hour traffic, we had to deal with the concert traffic as well. My girlfriend had prepaid for parking at a tiered lot across from the arena so it was prefect once we got there, which was 6:50.
By the time we went through security check and ticket scan it was 7:00 and you could hear the opening band just starting to play. Neither of us recognized the music, so as we got to our section I peaked in and looked at the banner of who it was. The band was called Return to Dust. Neither of us really cared for their style of music and they were pretty raw in terms of a polished band playing.
So we grabbed something to eat while they were playing their set. Once they were done, we went to our seats. We had second row, lower tier close to the left side of the stage.
Three Days Grace was fantastic. They played every single song that I liked minus Chalk Outline which was not performed.
I had never seen them in concert before, and they did not disappoint at all. High energy, very interactive with the crowd. They sounded excellent and were very crisp instrument wise.

The crowd went absolutely ballistic during this song it was incredible.
Then for the headliner Breaking Benjamins. They are a truly solid band, very polished, great performers with excellent talent and stage presence. I personally really like their music and they are excellent in concert. This is the third time I’ve seen them now, and each time has been fantastic.
Usually the headliner is on stage the longest, but in this particular concert Three Days Grace was on stage for nearly an hour and a half. So they took a little time away from Breaking Benjamins who played for nearly an hour and a half. More like an hour and twenty minutes. There is a curfew of 11pm on weeknights there for concerts due to noise. So they literally finished their last song and said goodnight.
This is my favorite song of theirs.

It was a great night of entertainment. Trying to get home afterwards was not a whole lot of fun. I rolled into my house just before 2am. I’m dragging ass today and have tons of stuff to do.
