He has arrived…
Afternoon everyone…..
If you’ve been paying attention to my posts. Then you know that today was the day that I was meeting up with Summertooth and his daughter. They are on a New York City trip currently for her birthday which was a few weeks ago.
They took the train from Penn Station, to the train station at a town called Madison, New Jersey. It’s about twelve miles away from where my girlfriend Jennifer lives. He came in late morning, and we met up for lunch and an escape room adventure.
That’s Summertooth and his daughter coming down the stairs of the train platform.
I had booked a table at a restaurant nearby which is a really nice place. It’s called 54 Main, located within walking distance of the train station.
It was a beautiful day out, but a little windy for our liking. I didn’t take a picture of all the food, but everyone was happy with the food. The birthday girl had a fantastic hanger steak for lunch.
We then walked around the block to our reservation at the escape room.
Summertooth chose an adventure room where we were set during prohibition and were FBI agents trying to find the ledger book of an underground speak easy. It was a pretty tricky one to solve. You only get one hour to solve the mystery, and you can ask for two clues. They don’t give you the answer, just point you in the right direction.
With only ten minutes left we were scrambling, but managed to complete the mission with two minutes and twenty seconds left in the hour.
It was true team effort for sure.
After that we strolled around town with all the small boutique style shops. The birthday girl got an ice cream from a local creamery. It was a chocolate waffle cone filled with chocolate ice cream that had brownie chunks, caramel and chocolate pieces in it.
We walked him back to the train station, said our goodbyes and headed home.
It was great seeing Summertooth again.
