thoughts about skiing

hi so I started skiing last year at 19 years old being a total beginner but I actually managed to learn the basics really easy so now in 2nd year of skiing I can actually ski decent do you think I can make it to be a good skier and and do tricks and freestyle or I should have started earlier ?
