Debt is definitely a form of slavery. This has been common knowledge for those 'in the know' for thousands of years. Even the Bible warns people about this (not that I condone religion in any form). Proverbs 22-7 says; "The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender." There are TONS of proverbs, Christian and other-source, imparting this knowledge upon humanity.

Taxation without consent is just plain theft, a slave mentality allows acceptance of this.
