The main part of the lake
One of the important areas of our Dinajpur district is Parbatipur Upazila. A charming artificial lake has been built on the eastern side of the Barapukuria coal mine in this upazila for coal extraction, which has now become a place of pilgrimage for the local people. The peaceful and green environment in the middle of the rice fields in a completely empty place is exceptional. From a distance, it seems as if nature has given all its beauty here.

What makes this place special to me is its peaceful environment and the boat trips here. The green nature around this lake is trees and vines. Common people expect only thunder or dirt in industrial areas, but this lake is really a place of joy for us. Although this lake was formed due to coal mining, the blue color of the sky can be seen in the clear water of the lake here.

The soft light of the afternoon, and the shadow of the surrounding trees have given the whole environment a unique beauty. Along with this, many families come here for boat riding in the afternoon. The scene created by the red-orange glow of the lake water during sunset is really the best for me. I took a picture of this scene.

Boat trip
The most attractive aspect of this place is traveling by boat in the lake. The natural scenery around it looks beautiful from the boat. The small waves of the boat floating on the water, the sound of the light boat movement and the occasional flying of colorful birds make the whole environment beautiful. Apart from this, standing on the bank of the lake, you can enjoy seeing the coal mining infrastructure in the distance and enjoying the smoke. Standing at the same place, you can see the electricity generation and natural scenery by burning coal.

This artificial lake presents the natural beauty and environment of our area in a new way. Almost every day, newlyweds can be seen coming here to take photos. Two types of flowers are found here. One of them is the Kachuripana flower. This white Kachuripana flower is enough to make the mind feel good.
Sunset time
Some more Shapla flowers can be seen here. Also, fishermen from different areas of Bangladesh come here to fish. The fish here are very big. Residents from far away can be seen fishing in their villas here. They earn their living by fishing. This is how the beauty of this lake is presented.

Through my photographs, I have tried to highlight the peace, beauty and human connection with nature of this place. Looking at my photographs, it is easy to understand that many visitors have come here to travel by boat, some are walking hand in hand with their loved ones. The boatmen here are waiting for customers. Fishermen are catching fish. Some are walking with their feet wet in the water. Many are sitting here talking with friends. I have tried to show the love of nature and the bond of the soul.
