This place is a pond bank where I have been fishing and bathing in the pond since my childhood. This place is Mintu Hazir Pond in Chhota Fakir Para of Habra Union of Parbatipur Upazila. This pond always floats in my memory. I visit this pond bank every day. Today too I took a picture on the bank of this pond. This pond can be seen from my window.

There are many reasons why this place is meaningful or memorable to me. I have played and bathed in this pond since I was a child. Many times I have stolen fish from this pond. Although the condition of the pond is very bad now, it was much better in the past. I learned to swim at this pond and I bathed here with all my elder brothers and sisters, which is no longer possible. This pond is creating a bond with the boys of our village.

I have a special experience or emotional moment with this place. When I was two or three years old, I fell into this pond and God saved me from almost dying. Since then, I have been somewhat afraid of this pond. This incident will remain in my memory for as long as I live because it was a fatal accident. When I look out my window at the pond, I almost think of this.

The pictures I took help me tell the story here. Previously, there was a bamboo garden on the east side of this pond, but now the west side is somewhat the same as before. Previously, there were many mango trees, but now there are no mango trees, but there are banana trees. Previously, there were numerous sajane trees on the banks of the pond, but now eucalyptus trees have been planted instead of sajane trees. Over time, its design and shape have changed, but the pond is still there, so I can tell my story through these pictures.

If anyone else visits this place, I hope they will get some messages. One of the messages they will get from here is that it is not right to have such a deep pond in the village. The other messages they will get from here are that if there is a bamboo garden on the bank of the pond, a lot of beauty can be enjoyed and the surrounding houses are much cooler. Also, they will be more interested in learning about how bathing in this pond can help the villagers bond and build good relationships with each other.
