Hello my dear fellow steemians! Participating in this contest is one of the greatest things I choose to do today. I am delighted to join another new week of crochet learning which I believe will help me expand and explore my knowledge in crochet world.

I deeply appreciate steemit team for giving us another week to enjoy interesting knitting work. I also really appreciate my instructors and you all as you are willing to go through my opinion and hear my different steps in creating a beautiful unisex keychain.

Believe with me that crochet is a wonderful art that allows one to create different beautiful and valuable pieces of art with our own hands gaining knowledge and having new items.

To begin this week challenge, what I used are: Yarn, design key ring, Needle, Scissors and lighter as materials. In my environment, we have a big issue of electricity, so as such resulting in having low battery in my device for a long term video. It made it a challenge this week. Not withstanding, I really have passion for crochet learning and I choose to take few photographs that outline each steps I participate in this week challenge.

Make the keychain with the stitches suggested in class. Support your activity with photos of the step or an explanatory video.

I start my key chain making with a knot. Knot is one of the most easiest thing to do when starting any stitches and every one is rightly conversant with it. I continued by making a five chain stitch.

Then my next step was dropping one stitch and went back through the remaining four chains making single crochet stitches. This means that I made a two lines of low stitches.

In my third row of making the low stitch after making too low stitches, I made my lying down stitch because these are the ones that will add beautiful design to my keychain.

For a better understanding let me explain lying down stitch: lying down stitch is a process of taking a needle two steps downward, insert it through a hole towards the left side and gently pull it out by dragging the yarn from the back to the front then also drag the loop to be equal, then take another yarn and pull it out from the loop. I repeated this same procedure over and over until I had 22 pair of stitches lying down.

To continue, I folded the strip and join its ends. For this, I used slip stitches.

In my next step, I secured the key ring with two rounds of slip stitches. Once the ring was secured, I cut the yarn, hid the remaining strands. At this point, I was extremely excited with what I got.

In this short video, you will see the completion of my work.

In a photo, identify the 22 pairs of stitches lying down in your work or fabric.

To get this 22 pairs stitches was bit challenging but since I am learning it worth my time and concentration.
