Ork Hulk (Game 1) Turn 6

in #slothicorn8 years ago (edited)

It's heating up, literally!

This is a complex game, and while any new players are totally allowed to drop in at any point, we ask that you read the rules before deciding to play.

Game ends when a player picks up the Steem:

  • 2 Steem to the player that collects the Steem icon.
  • 2 Steem to the player with the most kills at the end of the game.

Yeh Boyz! Great pinca move tactiks!
Kill dem from both sides! Smash 'em!!
Dat Steem must be close now!

Last turn

@urbangladiator did some burning, and got burnt. @pandorasbox grabbed a shoota and immediately took down an enemy ork. @happyme picked up the Big Shoota and is set to do some damage while on the other side @justatouchfey put herself in harms way and got out unscathed. Orks aren't known for their shooting.

Quick Summary of rules relevant to this turn:

  • Players can move 5 squares in a turn.
  • Players can not occupy the same square as an enemy or another player.
  • Players can also choose to shoot or charge into hand to hand combat. A charging player moves 6 squares and gets a +1 to wound.
  • Players that charge an enemy already in hand to hand combat get a +1 to their roll for being an Additional Combatant.
  • Players can flee from close combat, but must roll a 4+. On a roll of 1, 2 or 3 they suffer a wound to represent being hit when their back was turned.
  • Players can find weapons or armour and pick them up by moving onto that square. Players can choose to pick up the new weapon or keep their current weapon.
  • Players will always keep their knife.
  • Players must stop on that square to pick up the new weapon... but can use it immediately.
  • Enemies have 1 wound.
  • Enemies will only move towards Players in their line of sight.
  • There is no friendly fire.

Turns

  • Players move first. Enemies move after all players have completed their actions.
  • Players will have 24 hours to list their actions in the comments.
  • Move turns are based on which players comment first.
  • After 24 hours the enemies will take their actions

With a range of 12 spaces, I could move to the top center of the board and if the other players taunt the Orks to chase them back towards me, as soon as they come around the corner, I can blast them! That way we can more safely clear the visible areas before attempting to penetrate deeper into the fog. I'll wait to see if the others want to try that or just charge in.

I'm down to help out with this next move. I want to try charging in once hehe...

I'm back! Thanks for doing my moves, I'm happy with them!

So I havea bit of a confusing proposal.
Can I: Drop the shoota again, pick up the slugga, then move to the frag grenade and pick it up and then fire at the ork with my slugga?

Shoota is just a temporary measure to handle those burna's. I need my melee capability!

Yay!

You can indeed! That's a great plan!

@pandorasbox fires on Enemy Ork 11 with the slugga. @rollthedice

Shake shake shake, you roll the 6-sided die.

You rolled a 2.

Needs a 5+... luckily you get two shots.
@rollthedice

Shake shake shake, you roll the 6-sided die.

You rolled a 4.

Bummer. Lucky UG is there with the burna.

Sweet, move down to grab the shoota! Then shoot the ork below me! Get him! Get him! @rollthedice

Shake shake shake, you roll the 6-sided die.

You rolled a 3.

Darn. I need a bigger gun. >:)

Okay can I attack in the middle of moving? I want to use my last 2 moves to go left then down cause I want that Klaw lol. And then hopefully I can run for my life lol.

If I'm not mistaken, you get a move and a fight, but can't split up your moves. So if you move 1 and fight, then your turn is over. There are no saved moves as far as I understand.

Cool cool. If that's the case I'll just wait there with my shoota and run like the dickens tomorrow ;)

HappyMe is right.... it's move then fight... you can't split up the moves...

On the plus side... the shoota is a 2 shot weapon, so you get another shot at Ork 6.
@rollthedice

Shake shake shake, you roll the 6-sided die.

You rolled a 3.

The fog isn't lifting around @urbangladiator so that we can see just a little bit more around that area?

Move 2 North and 3 west.

Shake shake shake, you roll the 6-sided die.

You rolled a 5.

@pbock.... we need you!

Oh dear.

SO sorry about the wait.

I'd commented once I'm sure but esteem us unreliable on 4G as far as getting the comment up. Must have failed.

I move three West, two south.

Thank you!

No problem at all... I often have problems with votes or comments not sticking...

Enemy Ork Turn:

Ork 7 - charges @pbock. This enemy has a shoota which is terrible for melee... so needs a 6 for his combat knife and a +1 for charging. So 5+ to wound @pbock.

@rollthedice

Shake shake shake, you roll the 6-sided die.

You rolled a 3.

@pbock is unwounded and most likely super annoyed there's an enemy between him and his frag.

Ork 4 charges @justatouchfey.

Slugga plus charge means Ork 4 needs a 4+ to wound.
@rollthedice

Shake shake shake, you roll the 6-sided die.

You rolled a 6.

Ork 5 with the power claw charges @justatouchfey.
PowerKlaw requires a 3+ to wound, with the addition of the +1 charge modifier means Ork 5 needs a 2+ to wound... @rollthedice

Shake shake shake, you roll the 6-sided die.

You rolled a 5.
