My ArtVenture: Acrylic painting “Heading home: …Silent Night…”

in #slothicorn8 years ago

Hello my dear Steemians,

I continue my series of Adventure of a sailing ship that is on the way home, I decided to do it like a diary and to describe the situation to each of my painting.

My paintings are all done with acrylic colors and with palette knives and brushes.

Day 46 Dairy of Captain…Silent Night

…It is so far and today is Christmas Eve, as I thought my suspicion about having the holiday on board really came true. It was a difficult to decide what to do best for my men but our cook decided to make it easier for everyone. He decided to cook few turkey with potatoes and sprouts to bring the feeling of family, I still have few bottles of nice whiskey that could also cheer up the men. I think somehow that plan was already spread around so everybody was excited about the party.

The party was a real success, I have never had so much fun, for a moment it felt like we are in a circle of our family, close people. Of course it could not be a party without singing. Luckily we have guys wh can play and sing, so we had our own little musicians.

The highlight of the Eve was when we were on deck for fresh air and seen that magnificent picture of full moon with clouds and very calm sea, at that very moment it was like an idea came into the mind of everyone, one of men starting to sing “Silent Night” and everyone just joint the voices.

That moment nobody will forget and I am glad I had a chance to share this holiday with my crew, my family…

Love that picture and you write a story about it.

With the story you tell, I also join that trip

Thank you for sharing your art @stef1

Thank you for viewing, I know that you like such old time ships that is why wanted to know your opinion. I am glad you like my story too, as I child I transfer myself in that time and in the role of a captain. Of course it is easy for me because I can influence myself the event, because it is my story but I believe it was not so easy for those guys in that time. Cheers and my story to be continued...

Cheers and be continued @stef1

hi @stef1 .., your painting is very beautiful .., how to draw it using what method ..? , the result is perfect, I often train the children in my elementary school about painting art but the result is not good like you have .., can you share some knowledge to me

There is no method as such, I think important is just try to set up what colors you want to use and put the colors and tones where you want. For acrylic it needs to try up, then you can use the colors for details, the good thing is while color is wet you still can wipe it up with wet paper towel and correct, but it just needs practicing everyday really.

hmmm .... like that yeah ...
I understand now.
thanks for his knowledge ..,

I love painting, follow me

Thank you for viewing:)

Hi, Stef!

Are you hardly carried away by the marina painting? :-)

Thank you, that is my aim to become better in marine painting :)

Beautifully moonlit and serene. And great supporting story :)

Thanks, dark surrounding made the moon and sails to light up :)

So it did 😊
