Why Being Back Home Feels So Great

The most clam and peaceful place for me, maybe just because i spent my childhood here with my grandparents and my same aged cousins. But later for the sake of our offhand life my father and some of my uncles moved in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

After almost 7 years me and my family went to our home town Noakhali. We used to go there every year twice when my grandparents were alive.

Every time we went their just for a vacation but this time I wanted to know about Noakhali. In a text book I learned some of the things but I wanted to know more physically which seems interesting to me.

Noakhali is a district of Bangladesh and it's earlier name was Bhulna, which was established in 1821,later it named Noakhali in 1868.

My place is in Chottrogram division(3600.99 sq. Km), located in between 22°07' and 23°08' north latitudes and in between 90°53' and 91.27' east latitudes. Noakhali is the pin point of Bay of Bengal, Feni, Chottrogram, and Lashmipur.

Noakhali mainly named from a river. That is Noa(new) khal(river). Here the most historic rivers are Meghna, Bamni, Mohendro Khal, Dakatia Khal, Chandraganj Khal.

Among of all other districts in Bangladesh,Noakhali belongs huge population. There total population will be 2640227. From there male will be-1313470 and female-1326757.

These people's main source of income is Agriculture. If we go with the percentage then agricultural is in 40.62%. Other income sources are non agricultural labourer-3.43%, industry-0.84%, commerce-14.74% transport and communications-3.83%,services-16.11%, construction-1.49%, religion services0.39%, rent and remittance-7.97%,othets-10.58%

Before joining our busy life and almost end of our holidays we all decided to go for some historical places.

Nijhum Dwip*

It's a small island under Hatiya of Naokhali. Covering an area of 9000 acres. Now it is developed into a deep forest with a variety of plant species.

Bazra Shahi Mosque

One of the major archaeological work in undivided Bengal. It is situated 8 miles from district headquarter and also a example of Maghal architecture.

Rajgonj Mia Bati

From the very beginning this is always known as Jomidar Bari. It is located at Rajgonj Union and Sayed Sultan Alam built this in 1907.

I always love to visit my village but this time i truly loved it.
