Why do small businesses struggle to post consistent social media content?
I run a tiny handmade-goods shop, and honestly, keeping up with social media is kicking my butt. I know I should post consistently, but between packing orders, handling customers, and, you know, having a life, my brain just taps out. Half the time I don’t even know what to post, and the other half I feel like it won’t matter anyway. I see other small businesses posting daily and I’m over here celebrating if I remember once a week. How do you all keep up without burning out or feeling fake?
Totally relatable. Most small businesses are run by one (very tired) person wearing ten hats. Consistency is hard when content isn’t your main job. What helps is lowering the bar — simple posts, batching content when you have energy, and remembering that imperfect but real beats polished and burned-out every time.
Totally feel you on this – some days I blank out just trying to remember if I posted anything at all. What helped me was finding a spot to grab social media post ideas for businesses that actually makes sense for my niche. Cuts the stress big time and I don’t waste hours staring at a blinking cursor. I still wing it sometimes, but at least I’ve got a backup plan when my brain stalls.
