Definitely farmers are the one of the backbones of our society. They are providing one of the basic needs, food.
If you don't mind, here is little advice. Your post is OK but there is scope for improvement.
- First letter of first word of every sentences should be capital
- Anyone's speech should be posted in quotations. Like:
...............well known scientist has said,
“You cannot make a peaceful world on empty stomachs and human misery”.
